Collection: David Austin

Māori Artist, Dave Austin is an exciting and experimental artist based in Hamilton who work moves between ceramics, sculpture, painting and poetry.

Often bold, or gestural. Austin's work draws inspiration from a variety of styles and techniques, combining eclectic references with his Māori heritage and connection to symbols, spirituality and story-telling.

He has strongly inspired from Japanese authentic pottery techniques, he experiments these techniques to make his dynamic bold sculptured pieces. They've been popular from our galley store, been loved from ceramic collectors.

He has been showing his work across Aotearoa and the UK since the late 90's
